1. Introduction
Welcome to Instant Quote Skips. By using our website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Definitions
- “Company,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our” refers to Instant Quote Skips.
- “Customer,” “You,” or “Your” refers to the individual or business hiring a skip.
- “Service” refers to the provision of skip hire, delivery, collection, and waste disposal.
3. Booking and Payment
All skip hire bookings must be made through our website or by contacting us directly. Payment must be made in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed. Prices are subject to change, but any confirmed bookings will not be affected.
4. Skip Hire Duration
Our standard hire period is 14 days unless otherwise agreed. Extensions may be available at an additional cost. If the skip is not collected within the agreed period, additional charges may apply.
5. Delivery and Collection
We aim to deliver and collect skips at the agreed times; however, delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by delivery or collection delays. The customer must ensure that there is suitable access for delivery and collection of the skip.
6. Skip Placement and Permits
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that skips placed on public land, including roads or pavements, have the appropriate permits from the local council. We can assist in arranging permits, but all associated fees and compliance responsibilities lie with the customer.
7. Waste Restrictions
Only acceptable waste types may be placed in the skip. The following items are strictly prohibited:
- Hazardous waste (asbestos, chemicals, solvents, paint, gas cylinders)
- Electrical appliances and batteries
- Tyres and plasterboard (unless agreed in advance)
- Liquids, oils, or medical waste
If any prohibited items are found in the skip, additional charges will apply for their removal and disposal.
8. Overloading and Safety
Skips must not be overfilled beyond the maximum fill line. Overloaded skips may not be collected, and a failed collection fee may be charged. The customer is responsible for ensuring the skip is loaded safely and does not pose a risk to others.
9. Damage and Liability
We take all reasonable care in delivering and collecting skips, but we are not responsible for damage caused to driveways, gardens, or private property during placement or removal. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide suitable access and ground conditions for the skip.
10. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations made at least [X] hours before the scheduled delivery may be eligible for a refund, subject to an administration fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after this period. If a skip cannot be delivered due to lack of access or permit issues, a failed delivery fee may apply.
11. Liability and Indemnity
We are not liable for any loss, damage, or costs incurred due to the use of our services, except where required by law. By hiring a skip, you agree to indemnify Instant Quote Skips against any claims, damages, or legal proceedings arising from improper use of the skip or failure to comply with these terms.
12. Changes to Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
